Appearance

The front panel of smartphones has not changed much in comparison with the previous generation. At the top of the display is a drop-shaped cutout and at the bottom a small “chin”. The Redmi logo is also located there, but only in the basic version. The overall display-to-body ratio in Note 8 Pro is 91.4% and in Note 8 90%. Key differences are in the back cover.

In the Pro version, the camera module “moved” to the center of the case, but retained the vertical orientation. Three cameras are in a common add-on, while a macro camera and flash are located nearby. At the same time, the “younger brother” inherited the design of the previous generation with a change in the form of additional lenses. Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro are equipped with Gorilla Glass 5 protective glass on both sides.

Features Redmi Note 8 Pro

The older model is equipped with a 6.53-inch IPS display with a resolution of FullHD + (2340 x 1080). The smartphone has passed the TUV Rheinland certification, which means protection against blue radiation. The processor from MediaTek is responsible for the work – Helio G90T, coupled with 6 GB or 8 GB, depending on the configuration. In terms of read-only memory, Redmi has two options: 64 GB and 128 GB. 

If this amount is not enough, the user will be able to expand the memory using a microSD card. The smartphone comes with Android 9 Pie and Xiaomi MIUI 10 pre-installed shell. The battery capacity is 4500 mAh with support for fast charging up to 18 watts. Among the interesting features, it is also worth highlighting the NFC module and the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Cameras

Redmi Note 8 Pro received a camera consisting of four lenses. The smartphone offers a 64 MP main sensor with an f / 1.7 aperture, an ultra-wide 8 MP lens, a 2 MP depth sensor, and a 2 MP macro lens. The maximum resolution of the photo is 9248 x 6936. The front camera received a resolution of 20 megapixels.

Redmi note 8

Note 8 runs on the same processor as Xiaomi Mi A3 – Snapdragon 665. There are only three memory configurations: 4 GB + 64 GB, 6 GB + 64 GB, 6 GB + 128 GB. MicroSD card slot in place. The battery capacity is 4000 mAh with support for fast charging up to 18 watts.

Cameras

Redmi Note 8 also comes with a four-camera module, but with a different primary lens. The main sensor is a 48MP Sony IMX586 with an aperture of f / 1.79, and the other three sensors are the same as in the Note 8 Pro. Otherwise, the smartphone is completely identical to the older model.

Redmi Note 8 Pro:
